Holiday Guest Pass
For occasional visitors to Balnarring who wish to use club facilities, we offer a Holiday Guest Pass. An ideal option for those on a camping holiday who want to partake in boating activities, including use of the club yachts (if you are an active sailing member of another club), have a shower or a drink after a day on the beach, watch the cricket or tennis on the big screen TV in the clubrooms or connect to the internet via the club wi-fi. Launching and retireving of your powerboat by a club member qualified to use the club tractor can also be arranged (note that launching of jet skis is not permitted)
Holiday Guest Pass holders will be registered as Yachting Australia members for the period specified on the pass so they will be covered by the Yachting Australia personal accident insurance policy while using the club facilities or engaging in boating activities.
There are 3 Holiday Guest Pass options:
- 1 week = $55
- 2 weeks = $82.50
- 4 weeks = $132
We also offer to option to store your own boat or kayak at the club (subject to space availability). Prices available on application.
There is no waiting period for a Holiday Guest Pass once the application is approved by a member of the WYC Committee. Holiday Guest Pass holders are not entitled to a yacht club key. A Holiday Guest Pass will be revoked immediately if a member submits a complaint regarding a pass holder's behaviour.
Coaching Membership
An individual with sailing capabilities, who is not a member of any club, can pay $10 extra per coaching session up to a maximum of 3 times before being required to join the club. The $10 will be collected as a “coaching membership fee” and will be deducted from the joining fee once the applicant has been approved.
Guests
Guests are free to enjoy the view from the clubhouse while accompanying a member who may be participating in club organised activities. Tea and coffee are provided from the kitchen (gold coin donation). Through summer our bar is often open on afternoons and evenings and guests are also welcome to have a drink from the bar as long as they are signed in as a guest by a member. Note our club rules do restrict the number of times a guest can be signed in to 4 times in any year. Of course guests also have the option of unrestricted access to club facilities and social activities by taking out a social membership.
